Wow, this is an awesome pic! I've never seen cats so close to each other as this
It's hilariously cute
I watched your tribute video to Madmax, and I can honestly say I cried, it was very sweet. A few years ago I had a cat that passed away from kidney/liver failure. She was at a very good age, so I felt that her time was just. A few weeks later however, my other cat of about 5 had to be put down because he was in excruciating pain and was not able to eat or drink for a long time, and ended up losing a lot of weight. The vet told us there was nothing we could do for him. Literally two days after he was put down we discovered from the news that it was from the wet pet food recall, in 2007 I believe, because of the contaminated wheat gluten it contained. Needless to say, it was heartbreaking. I wish there could have been more that we could have done for him, because when he stopped eating I kept trying to hand-feed him the very thing that was killing him.
thanks a bunch That couch party photo is still my favorite shot. I was sitting on that sofa with two of my cats... got up, and came back a few minutes later, and found that the third cat had taken my seat. Luckily I had the camera handy
Thanks for watching the tribute. It's been a while now... but it's still hard to get over the loss of a beloved pet. Sorry to hear about your loss too. I remember that pet food scare. Actually had to return about a 100 cans of food to Wal-Mart. My cats didn't get sick from it though. Let's hope there's no more screw ups with the cat food.
Mm, I always have my camera around because my cat currently just does the silliest things inside my home. Even outside, he greets all the neighbors and they all seem to know him by now He likes to sit in their garages and hang out with them for a while and then move on to someone else. He's super friendly yet he demands attention and love almost constantly, so he'll go as far as knocking things off the desk/countertop if he doesn't get what he wants lol. I hate it when he tries to sit on my laptop or papers when I'm working =_=; But that's what you get with a siamese/ragdoll, I suppose. He's the sweetest thing I could ask for.
And yes, it definitely is difficult to move on. I've heard of other owners who had lost their pets to the contaminated food as well. I saw a dead cat on the road the other day and almost cried. I thank god that at least my cat didn't have to go through something like that. (Sorry for the morbidity.) I decided to cremate my cat when he passed, and I have his ashes sitting soundly in an urn on my dresser. When I got my 1 yr. old, Dexter, he helped me through a little bit of the pain of everyday life and I realized that things change and it feels great to love and be loved back unconditionally with someone who will cuddle in your face x)
What kind of cats do you have? I can tell one of them is a russian blue I'm guessing, and a...tabby? I used to volunteer at my local animal shelter for about four few years, so I should probably be able to tell by now
I also have my cat's ashes in an urn... (it's an egyptian style urn with a black cat's head as the top). I bought it from a company called Design Toscano at www.designtoscano.com
I can see from your pictures that cat looks very friendly and happy. My next cat might be a ragdoll.
All my cats are shelter cats So they are a mixture of many breeds. I'm pretty sure Chumigo is at least 3/4 maine coon. Rex might be part egyptian mau or ossicat... he has similar body features. I suspect my cat Gorn is a part American shorthair. And, Rascal looks like he might have some maine coon and Turkish Angora in him. He's a huge cat.
Hmn... I wonder if there are dna tests available to determine a cat's breed/genetic history?
I adopted my cat from the same shelter I worked at (although I always wished I could take them all home! )
Siamese and ragdoll are some of my favorite types of cats. It's always been interesting seeing the different personalities in all types, even black cats have their own attitudes that are different from a tuxedo's.
Hmm, that would be interesting if they did This makes me think back to when I've learned from Cats 101 on animal planet, heh x)
